Ms. Salcito specializes in corporate human rights due diligence, with a focus on large-footprint capital projects. She has been a leading practitioner of corporate Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIA) since 2008 and co-developed the leading HRIA methodology. She has advised industry groups on corporate human rights performance and contributed to the development of the UN’s Guiding Principles for Human Rights and Business. Prior to her impact assessment work she was a reporter in Burma, Indonesia and Canada, reporting on resource sectors and human rights issues. 
 
Ms. Salcito holds an M.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in History. She is a doctoral candidate in Epidemiology at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (expected completion 2014).
