Human Rights

NewFields' Human Rights Assessment team offers a complete set of human rights services. Human Rights has emerged as an area of crucial interest for companies, whose actions are increasingly measured against their own human rights policies and the standards of multi-sector, multi-national associations and organizations.

Too often in the Human Rights arena, praise and criticism are based on subjective "soft" analyses that lack the rigor to recognize the complex ways socioeconomic, environmental, health and human rights issues interact and overlap. We employ holistic methodologies built on measurable and defensible data and analysis to predict and address human rights issues. We work inductively, compiling and cataloging baseline and project information using a comprehensive framework of relevant topics to enable our teams to evaluate and measure the likely success or failure of existing human rights policies and procedures.

The Human Rights Assessment practice is a multidisciplinary team of professionals who work at the intersection of human rights and corporate action. Using methodologies developed and tested in the field, they provide analysis and guidance during a project's planning, operations and post-closure phases. The services provided related to, or informed by, human rights include
